PHILOSOPHY
Storytelling as a Catalyst for Change
As a care-experienced artist and storyteller, my approach to keynotes and talks is defined by a commitment to safety, dignity, and imagination. I invite audiences to move beyond the abstract and think creatively about the realities of care and the profound possibilities of system change. By weaving lived experience into artistic practice, I create spaces where truth is spoken and transformative futures can be collectively imagined.
Lived Experience
The Journey of Being Care-Experienced
A deep and personal exploration of identity, lived experience, and what it truly means to grow up in and negotiate a life beyond the care system.
Creative Change
Art & Creativity: Making Space for Ourselves
Exploring how art and storytelling create essential space for healing, voice, and radical change within the systems that govern our lives.
Signature Talks
My work as a care-experienced artist and storyteller is built on the belief that imagination is a tool for survival and growth. These talks are designed to help commissioners, charities, and organisations think creatively about system change, always prioritising the safety and dignity of the people we serve.
Systems & Support
Care Is for Life, Not Just Childhood
Challenging the notion that care ends at eighteen, this talk focuses on how systems and communities can better sustain care-experienced people across their whole lives.
Collaboration
Bespoke Talks & Workshops
Available to co-design unique sessions and workshops that align with your event's theme or organisational goals. I welcome discussions on bespoke creative projects.
Consultation & Safeguarding Oversight
A light-touch, collaborative offer to review your projects, resources, or events through a safeguarding-aware, care-experienced lens.
I work alongside teams to refine language and framing, ensuring that every communication respects the dignity of care-experienced individuals. By sense-checking safeguarding approaches, I help you move beyond compliance towards a practice that is genuinely safe and inclusive.
Whether you are developing a new resource or planning a large-scale event, I provide feedback on how care-experience is represented. Together, we can think creatively about how to build safer, more dignified practices that honor lived experience without being defined solely by it.
Past Engagements
I have had the privilege of working with universities, charities, local authorities and creative organisations across the UK, bringing care-experienced perspectives to environments ranging from lecture theatres to policy workshops.
- Keynote lectures for universities and academic conferences
- Specialist training sessions for social work and education teams
- Conference panels on care experience and system change
- Creative workshops with care-experienced young people
- Strategic advisory roles on national projects and resource design
I am always happy to adapt my sessions to suit your specific setting and am available to talk through what approach might work best for your event or audience.
Booking & Enquiries
I welcome enquiries from universities, charities, local authorities, and organisations. Whether you are ready to book a speaker or just exploring initial ideas for an event, I would be delighted to hear from you.
Please feel free to share as much or as little detail as you have at this stage. I’ll follow up to schedule a conversation where we can discuss your goals and explore what approach might work best for your audience.
